Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith LLP has promoted Matthew T. Arvizu and Owen M. Praskievicz to partners of the firm.

A seasoned litigator, Matthew Arvizu focuses his practice on a wide variety of matters, including advising clients on trust and estate litigation, contract disputes, construction matters, real estate disputes, business disputes and more. Arvizu received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law, where he was an editorial member of the Syracuse Law Review and was awarded the highest-grade distinction in business valuation law, property law, banking law, accounting and legal writing. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach.

A trial and appellate attorney, Owen Praskievicz represents clients in complex litigation involving commercial contracts, real estate, intellectual property, product label claims and other business torts. He has significant experience litigating in both state and federal courts and has argued before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and California Appellate Courts. Praskievicz received his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was an editorial member of the San Diego Law Review and an associate member of the Appellate Moot Court Board. He received his bachelor’s degree in journalism and economics from the University of Maryland.
