Solomon Ward Promotes Attorney to Partner

The law firm Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith, LLP promoted Monique Matosian-Bharucha to partner, effective July 1.

Her practice focuses on estate planning, trust administration and probate matters. She works closely with individuals and families to guide them through planning as well as the complexities that arise after the loss or incapacity of a loved one.

With a reputation for compassion and clarity, she is known for building strong client relationships through communication, trust and thoughtful problem-solving.

“Monique brings an extraordinary level of care and perspective to her work,” Solomon Ward managing partner Tanya Schierling said in a statement. “Her promotion strengthens our trusts and estates practice and reflects the impact she’s made on clients, colleagues and the community.”

With fluency in French and firsthand international experience from living and working in Switzerland, France and the United Kingdom, Matosian-Bharucha advises clients on cross-border estate planning, particularly for those with assets in Europe and Canada. She is licensed to practice law in both California and New York.

Matosian-Bharucha is deeply involved in the San Diego legal and nonprofit communities. She serves on the board of directors for the Probate Attorneys of San Diego (PASD) and on the Scripps Health Gift Planning Advisory Council. In 2023, she was honored with PASD’s annual award for community service. She is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association and is an active volunteer in several school and youth organizations.

Matosian-Bharucha received her law degree with honors from the University of Nottingham School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
