Privacy & Cookie Policy

Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith, LLP, a California limited liability partnership (“SWSS”) has created this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) to disclose our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website (“website” or “site”).  Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy is intended both to: 1) describe how our website may collect and use information from your Internet enabled device (i.e. your computer, tablet, smartphone or other device — and browsers or apps used to access the Internet), and 2) describe how you may opt out of any such collection and use. References in this Privacy Policy to “we,” “us” or “our” mean SWSS (and its successors and assigns) and references to “you” and “your” mean the user.

This Privacy Policy only applies to the site and not to any other websites or applications you may access from the site, each of which may have data collection, storage, and use practices and policies that differ materially from this Privacy Policy. Personal information given to, or obtained by, us while providing legal services to our clients is not governed by this Privacy Policy. By using the site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information You Send Us

We collect no personally identifiable information when you visit our website. We only collect information through cookies as described below.

Data Collection And Cookies

For each visitor to our site, our server may automatically recognize your domain name and other information.  We require no one to provide us with personally identifiable information to view the site.

Cookies & Technical Information

We collect information automatically through electronic tools. Features or partners of our website may collect data including, but not limited to: the number of visitors to our site, the time spent on our site and pages clicked, the devices used to access our site, and the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of visitors. We use this information to improve our website and marketing. This data is collected by sending cookies (or similar tracking technology) to your device. Personal information cannot be collected via cookies and other tracking technology. Aggregate cookie and tracking information may be shared with third parties; and this Privacy Policy does not cover third parties’ use of cookies. You may configure your device to limit or prevent access by cookies, such as to notify you when you receive a cookie, to block all cookies, or to delete existing cookies.

To learn more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, please visit https://www.allaboutcookies.org.

Partners and Features That Collect Information

Our website analytics partners or features that collect data as described above may include, among others, Google Analytics, other analytics programs, and Google AdWords remarketing service. Remarketing involves tracking devices that have visited our website to display ads for our services on other websites. Use these links to learn how Google uses data it collects, to prevent Google Analytics from using data from your device, or to opt out of Google’s interest-based ads.

Third Party Advertisers and Links

During your use of our site you may link to, or view as part of a frame on our page, certain content created or hosted by a third party.  Third parties, including our partners, advertisers, affiliates, and other content providers accessible through our site, may have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. We are not responsible for the actions, privacy, security, or content of such third parties. If you are asked to provide information on one of these websites, we encourage you carefully to review their privacy policy before sharing your information.

Do Not Track

We do not track visitors to our site over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore we do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, Safari allows you to set the DNT signal on your browser so third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked.

EU Data

This section only applies to visitors in the European Union (EU). Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective from May 25, 2018, data subjects in the EU have the following rights regarding their personal data against “controllers:”

  • request access to their personal data;
  • request for correction or erasure of their personal data;
  • restrict or object to the processing of their personal data;
  • when processing is based on consent, withdraw their consent to process their personal data in some circumstances;
  • object to the processing of personal data for marketing or on grounds relating to their particular situation;
  • receive their personal data in a machine-readable format and send it to another controller (“data portability”);
  • request that decisions based on automated processing about their data or significantly affecting them and based on their personal data are made by natural persons, not only by computers.

Except as described in this policy, we do not collect or store any personal data of our visitors. However, if you are in the EU and wish to exercise any of your rights under GDPR, please contact us at the contact information listed below.
